Door County Top 10

1. Adventures in Peninsula State Park

This is a favorite spot for biking and hiking in Door County as there are a many trail options that
lead far into the park hitting different points on the lake! But if you aren’t a big biker or hiker,
driving in for the views along the cliffs in the park is equally satisfying. Entering near the golf
course leads you to views of Eagle Harbor that are stunning in any season! Northern Sky
Theatre which offers fun musical revues during the summer is located in the park. Winter brings
more quiet sports with cross country skiing, snowshoeing and the infamous Hill #17 for sledding.

2. Dinner at Fred and Fuzzy’s Waterfront Bar and Grill

Going for dinner at Fred and Fuzzy’s is so relaxing that you forget you left home! This is a
favorite for a casual dinner in the summer. The whole “restaurant” is outside, on a quiet bay on
the lake. It’s the perfect place to kick back and enjoy a sandwich and a beer while watching the
sun go down. A little like being in Key West with fun music and incredible sunsets!

3. A Sweet Treat at Malibu Moos Frozen Griddle or Not Licked Yet

We used to love Malibu Moos when it was in a tiny cabin in an orchard – but its newer location is
just as great! This is a fun ice cream spot if you’re looking for something with variety. There is a
plethora of shaved ice flavors, and the ice cream options are made with toppings mixed on the
frozen griddle. Since it is next to the harbor in Fish Creek, you can grab your ice cream to-go
and window shop downtown, or wander around the park and harbor. Not Licked Yet is famous
for frozen custard, fun sundaes, location by the creek, and overall deliciousness!

4. Adventure at Cave Point County Park

Cave Point is a unique “pick your own experience” kind of place. The main trail here runs along
the lake and your hike can extend into Whitefish Dunes State Park, but most visitors don’t need
to go that far once they start exploring the shore! The clear water against the white rocks and
sand provide scenes that rival the Caribbean, and plenty of rocks and caves to climb around
and through. And you can do a fabulous Kayak Tour with Door County Adventure Center or
Door County Kayak tours. Don’t forget your camera!

5. PC Junction for the kid in all of us

A restaurant that is fun for the family in any weather! When you sit at the counter, a train comes
around to deliver your food! PC Junction at Peninsula Center seems to always be adding on to
their outdoor attractions – everything from pedal carts to lifesize chess boards!

time of year and especially on those rainy days; Edgewood Orchard Gallery for tremendous art
and receptions with the artists; Off the Wheel Pottery featuring the talented Renee Schwaller;

Theatres to enjoy under the stars in the summer. Birch Creek, and Door County Auditorium as
well as concerts in the parks in each city for wonderful music.

7. Fish Boils

Fish boils are a special tradition in Door County. Our favorites are Pelletier’s and White Gull Inn
in Fish Creek. A fresh caught Door County Whitefish dinner with Door County cherry pie is a
true Door County meal. You can experience the county, it’s history and interact with the local
“boil master” as you watch a fish boil. We recommend reservations as the fish boils are
extremely popular and are scheduled according to seatings.
